An introduction to installing the RADiCAL Live Plugin for Blender, which is required to send streamed data from website into Software.
Supports Blender Versions: 2.83 and up
Time to complete: 5 minutes,
Recording your motions within RADiCAL Live happens through the web browser. However, if you want to stream animation data into Blender, within a new or existing project, use RADiCAL's proprietary plugin for Blender.
Here I will show you how to download and install the plugin for use.
Before you start…
- You can integrate the Plugin with any existing, or new projects.
- This requires you to have a created account with Radical Motion, however you do NOT need to be apart of the paid Professional tier. You are able to do everything on a Free tier with some limitations in number of streams to integrated software.
To install the Plugin, download it from our website, https://radicalmotion.com/blender.
The package will come in the form of a Zip folder. Don’t unzip it, as Blender will be able to decompress the Plugin within the software.
Installation of the Plugin comes through the blender Preferences, specifically the Add-ons tab.
This can be reached through Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
In the top right, press the Install Button, and navigate to where you’ve downloaded the Zipped Plugin.
The installation should take you right to your newly installed Add-on. However, you can use the search bar to find by searching for RADiCAL.
