Assets Tab

To bring static assets into the scene, navigate over to the Assets tab.

This is where all of your assets live, and are stored. These assets are global, and connected to your RADICAL account, instead of the Canvas project you are working on. This means you can create multiple Canvas projects, or join other Canvas projects, and the assets within this tab are carried over providing you are using the same account.

We’ve provided you with a small number of assets from the templates for you to get started.

Building your scene is as easy as drag and drop. Select the asset you want, hold down your left mouse button, and drag into the scene.

To alter the position of the asset, you can use the general transform controls found within the top of the interface, or by using the hotkeys I mentioned earlier.

For more finetuning controls, you can bring out the Properties tab. Which can be found in the Flyout tabs, or on the Quick Action bar of the asset selected.

There you are presented with position, rotation, and scale controls, which you can alter with numerical values, or drag the values with your mouse.

The assets that come with our templates are great, but you are never limited by your creativity.

You can add any free 3D assets to your Canvas from within our Sketchfab integration. Here you can search for assets and import them directly into your project without leaving.
